Multi-Location Regional Healthcare Provider

The Challenge

periscopeUP was hired in early 2019 to help a regional healthcare provider improve overall online visibility for its 300 individual clinic locations. The company had experienced rapid growth as the result of multiple acquisitions but did not have good online visibility in several markets. The client lacked a process for continually monitoring and updating its online presence, and this resulted in the proliferation of inaccurate and often duplicate listings for individual clinic locations.

The Solution

Implementing a local SEO strategy, particularly for a multi-location business, is a rigorous effort. We began by centralizing access credentials for each of the 300 locations on a select number of very high-quality local listing platforms and performing an intensive optimization process. For each location we updated listings created under prior business names, built out comprehensive descriptions for specializations, added detailed geographic information and uploaded interior and exterior photos.

As part of this effort, we also encouraged the client to seek additional quality customer reviews for several locations in order to improve credibility and reputation and also provide a boost to local pin map ranking.

Over a span of six months, the website experienced a steady increase in organic sessions to the locations page section of the website. The positive results shown in the graph below illustrate the importance of implementing a local SEO strategy. Having high-quality online listings that are accurate, consistent and complete will translate to gains in visibility and organic sessions.
