PPC Audit Case Study — Residential Construction & Design

During our 13-month engagement, periscopeUP helped a large residential construction & design company generate more new custom home leads and sales through paid search with less advertising spend. As the home buying process continues to evolve, the online marketplace for this space has grown in importance as a way to reach a local audience. However, the sales cycle is longer with a high-investment purchase such as a custom home, so it was critical to determine which keywords attract buyers who were further down in the sales funnel.

We began the campaign with an audit of the client’s existing PPC campaign. The audit revealed a key demographic was inadvertently excluded from the campaign and keyword bids were unnecessarily high. By implementing a new PPC strategy based on the findings of the audit, cost per lead was immediately reduced from $611 to an average of $111 over the course of the 13-month campaign. As an added bonus, we reduced the CPC from $4.50 to approximately $1.50 and generated more qualified traffic at a lower cost.
